If you’re not familiar with the various types of RVs available, here’s a brief overview of some common RV types.
CLASS A MOTOR HOMES

Class A motor homes are available with gasoline engines and diesel (diesel pushers) and are build on specially designed truck or bus chassis. RV slide outs are available to greatly increase the living space when setup and camping. The entire under carriage is designed for storage, much like the baggage area of a bus. The class A motor home has grown in popularity to be the most popular motorized RV on the road today.
CLASS B MOTOR HOMES
GAS AND DIESEL
From the outside, the Class B motor home looks like an oversized van. They are also commonly known as camper vans. Inside, the van is tall enough for standing room. Even though there is a kitchen, living room, and a bathroom, it is very small. The toilet and shower are combined into one space. Since these motorhomes are the smallest, they are the easiest to drive and have the best fuel economy. Parking the vehicle also isn’t a problem because of its size.
CLASS C MOTOR HOMES

Sometimes referred to as “mini motor homes” even though some up to 40 feet, most are between 21 and 32 feet in length. Most include slide outs to increase living space while camping. With gas engines being the most common, a variety of diesel engines are being offered by most RV manufactures. The wide variety of sizes of Class C Motorhomes makes a variety of options that can include bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, dining table and living area.
